St Louis Pineapple Cut Crystal Wine Glass 1920's 6.75 inches tall

Offered is this beautiful antique vintage St. Louis crystal 1920's Wine Glass. These were produced from 1903 until 1933 with no markings. Louis started acid etching their wares after 1933 so this is not signed as it was before that time.

The crystallerie of Saint Louis in the east of France is the oldest in Europe, established in 1586. It is one of the most prestigious glass producers in the world. Saint Louis crystal is well known for being compleatly mouth blown and hand cut. My mother-in-law was a little woman and while putting dishes away in her 2 tier buffet, the top tipped over and everything broke.

When her husband arrived, he went with his brother-in-law to St. This is why we have multiple quantities and different sizes available in this pattern. This is the Pineapple cut. This beautiful crystal Wine glass measures 6.75 inches tall. The mouth of the glass is 3 inches wide.

The bowl of the glass is etched with 6 panels, the stem is 6 sided and etched all the way down, this is something you never see now and is very rare. Notice the delicate hand cut decoration coming from the wine bowl down the 6 edges of the stem! The foot is etched with a star burst flowing outward from the center.

This antique wine glass stands 6.75 inches tall and the open glass is 3 inches wide. It has a beautiful ring to it. It is in excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks, see all photos for total visual condition. This will be beautiful on your table or as a display!
