This is a rare & gorgeous large Cocktail / beverage Pitcher with handle. This was made by Hawkes and it is the "19th hole" golfing design. You will see the more common cocktail shakers with sterling caps and the bar bottle decanters, but this large handled piece is very rare and stately for this design.

Hawkes commonly used sterling for thes smaller pieces but it looks like this one is Silverplate as it is only marked with a "7" and not sterling marked. Measures: 7-1/4" tall by 6-1/2" wide in body. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is still over 100 years old now! Condition: This is over 100 years old. The lid assembly and collar attached to the pitcher appear to be silverplated because I could not find a Hallmark.

They appear to be original to this piece, I found another with a different etching on it to compare, but it looks like it is missing a cap that went over the spout. The top cap looks good and could use more polishing to brighten it up, the collar looks like it has some plating loss- the cap slides down onto the collar. The inside is pretty clear and clean, I did find a small heat-check ding in the body that is stable and I doubt anyone would see it.. I will show with a sticker in photos. The area the top of the handle attaches also has a slight amount of checking but also stable.

In this condition it will display great though missing the little spout cap. It could also be used if you took care when holding the handle. Here is your chance to get a rare piece at a lower price.
