Pedestal Creamer & Sugar Bowl Cut Glass Crystal Sterling Silver 15 pwt's S1490

This is a gorgeous and rare Creamer & Sugar Bowl set. They are the rare footed pedestal style and they have a lot of sterling on them- the bases, handles and rims are all sterling. Sugar is 5-1/2 handle to handle. I believe these are from the American brilliant period, but not sure who made them- they are very similar to a lot of Hawkes work in ways but not signed that I can see and they did not mark the silver Hawkes. There is a polished cut floral garland cut around them and vertical and punties on the lower half.

Bottoms are marked "Sterling S1490 15 pwt's" and the rims are also marked "sterling". These are heavy, tall, sparkling cut glass beauties. They do fluoresce in 365 uv light as American glass in the 1800's to early 1900's did. Condition: This cut glass is over 100 years old.

All of the handles and metal fittings are sturdy condition and well attached. This is an Open set, there were never any lids. The glass is good and the silver has minor tarnish that would wipe right off.

The sugar bowl has the slightest dent in the side of the base that is not noticeable or causes an issue. Therefore it will be treated as such. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online.

However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item.
