Condition is beyond excellent with the exception of two small chips in the bottom rim of shade. These chips (pictured) are NOT visible when shade is inserted into the metal rim. This piece is Stunning and works perfectly.

The crystal is beautifully clear and unscratched. The lamp has been rewired at some point. The Strawberry Shade is a bit more difficult to find compared to the Mushroom Shade. Cuts on the shade are the Double Brunswick with Crosshatch centers.

Double Brunswick is an English cut, but many manufactures used that cut style, and J Hoare (an American company) was one of them. With the help of a fellow eBayer, I have been able to identify J. As the maker of this lamp.

Somewhere between 1901 and 1902, J. Hoare began using acid etching their glass with their logo. This piece is not stamped, therefore it has been determined to predate 1900.
