It is a thick heavy blank with great clarity- good quality. And the shape and geometric cutting resembles the earlier half or middle of the period so we will say c. 1900 give or take a few years. It has step cutting on the lower half and large deep hobstars cut in the sides. Handles are double punty cut with little x's in between for added character.
Bottom is finished with a large deep cut Hobstar. These are very hard to find, given the condition it would be a great addition to any new or seasoned collectors shelves. Condition: It is over 100 years old. If you search hard enough, you may find one or two micro "contact nips" from age that are considered typical and don't really detract from the beauty as they are invisible to the eye.
Bottom may have scuffs from surfaces but its pretty clean and clear. Inside is also clear and clean. The handles are also properly attached without cracks, fractures or air pocketing. This is for 2 reasons- We sell antiques / vintage goods, therefore they are used, I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get.
