Gorgeous Vintage French Cut Crystal Glass Bag Chandelier, c1920s
This gorgeous unusual French cut crystal bag chandelier from the 1920s would look beautiful in a hallway or landing setting, actually it would look glorious in any room! The hand cut antique schonbek tapered prism crystals are beautiful and make the chandelier glow. They are connected to the chandelier at top and bottom by octagonal prisms. The fabulous bottom connector crystal is very rare and unusual.
Look at the photographs, it is a beautiful creation. The crystals are connected at the top to a large glass bobeche. The hanging chain and light fitting cable exit through a second bobeche. The vintage 1920s patterned brass and crystal Chandelier is an original from the period and is not a reproduction.
It is therefore not new and will have expected signs of ageing. This is an exceptional quality chandelier and NOT a plastic and lightweight aluminum charade.
The chandelier is in full working condition, it is newly wired and needs a single bayonet bulb to illuminate this gorgeous creation. The chandelier is 13 long from the top bobeche to the bottom of the connecting crystal - plus the hanging chain, gold electric cable and ceiling rose - see photographs. The chandelier at the widest bobeche is 8diameter. The chandelier will be well packed and will need a small amount of de-construct to pack, a simple re-contruct by the purchaser will bring this gorgeous chandelier to life. If the purchaser wishes to collect - I will meet the purchaser at either of the M6 motorway Jnctns 33 or 34 and hand over the chandelier in a complete condition.
