Antique 8 Cut & Etched Crystal Basket. Perhaps a fine example of American Brilliant Crystal art! Wheel-etched, hand-cut brilliant crystal is uncommon, and listings for such exceptional pieces are rare! This cut-glass basket is unique in design and character!

Featuring a rectangular one-piece design with elaborate cuts on the edges, handle, and bottom, and an absolutely lovely wheel-etched clover and daisy motif around the sides and basket handle, this possibly one-of-a-kind piece is something unparalleled in the research that I have done on it! This piece shares many features with American Brilliant period, but also incorporates European elements, such as the edge ribbing and vining motifs.

The piece glows faintly green under black light, giving credence to it being an antique piece of crystal, possibly American Brilliant. It is quality hand-cut glass with perfect cuts and highly detailed etchings. This piece is in VERY GOOD condition! There are some fleabites and nicks to the base edge, lip of basket edge, and the underside of the handle.

These nicks do not greatly affect the display of the piece and are usual for antique crystal. This piece is free of major damage such as cracking and shows no repairs!
