This is a gorgeous cut glass bowl! It is huge and heavy, lovely shape and large flat bottom base with a huge hobstar cut in the underside! This is a unique piece- great size for serving a huge salad, display, or to float some candles in it for a lovely centerpiece. Measure: 10" wide, by 5" tall.
Weighs a whopping 8.4 pounds- its thick, big and heavy! It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now!
Authentication/Documentation: This is a Daisy and geometric pattern. Just about every company cut floral patterns, but this is a better looking one done with skill and added details. There is a huge deep cut 24 point hobstar in the base. The blank is very refractive and clear, thick too. Very heavy with a great shape and design.
This exact bowl is actually seen in LABAC cycle 8, pg. Condition: This is a gorgeous bowl made over 100 years ago. I see no rim damage and the bottom is good besides normal age scratches. Therefore it will be treated as such.I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item.
