This is a Gorgeous Antique Beverage Pitcher -Tankard / Jug. This Pitcher is 11" tall Rim by 4" wide by 5 wide with spout. 7-1/2 long spout to handle. (this is the large full size beverage shape).
This style cutting motif is often called "Harvard" Cane, it has the added step cut lip and punties cut in the handle for extra bling and the traditional star cut in the base. This one has another unique feature in the back of the rim above the handle it comes up taller into a point. This specific shape and pattern is "India" by Bergen (seen in one of the books) and this is their Harvard cutting. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1920). Which is over 100 years old now!Condition: This is a gorgeous pitcher, its nice and clear- not cloudy. The rim and spout look good with a very tiny micro amount of roughness right on the edge of the lip (no one will see it and it causes no issues). The handle is firmly attached with no checking or annealing cracks. It is heavy and gorgeous. This is for 2 reasons- We sell antiques / vintage goods, therefore they are used, I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get.
