Antique French Crystal Regulator Clock Cloisonne with Stunning Cut Glass Panels
Up for sale is this extremely unique French Crystal regulator. The clock has a solid brass case adorned with cloisonne decorations throughout, that can be seen on the clocks pendulum as well. But truly the part that stands out on this clock is the absolutely amazing cut glass panels on the three sides. These cut crystal panels are done with Incredible detail in a beautiful Patchwork pattern, and without any chips crack or damage. In my years of collecting antique locks I have never seen a crystal regulator of this caliber before. The movement is a Japy Freres 8 day time and strike movement. The clock was running while on our bench, and chiming nicely. The original porcelain dial is highly decorated and in beautiful condition. Accented by intricately designed brass hands. The clock appears to show all of its original finish, which does reflect the expected signs of age in the form of tarnish and discoloration of some of the brass, and comes directly out of a private collection.
