Exquisite Cut Glass Perfume Bottle with Sterling Silver Stopper. Estimated to be turn of the century, it has an etched floral design and a cut star on the bottom.
The stopper has a sterling silver top (see photo to see it marked "sterling") with a detailed filigree pattern - it has a monogram in the center which looks to me to be a "C" or possibly a "D". Glass bottle is perfect including the edge around the hole. The stopper has a chip off one edge on the bottom to be expected from a bottle this age.
Otherwise, the stopper is completely functional. The bottle is approximately 4" tall including the stopper and approximately 3 3/4" wide at the widest point.
Do not know the maker but glass is substantial and weighs over one pound. It is a rare and unique collectible item that will make a great addition to any collection. The bottle has a beautiful design and is perfect for display on a vanity or dresser.
It is ideal for those who appreciate vintage perfume bottles and want to add a touch of elegance to their collection. This bottle was owned by a collector of fine glass and paperweights.
