Antique ABP Brilliant Cut Period Crystal Glass Octagon Shaped Hinged Dresser Box. American Brilliant Period cut glass is fine quality, hand-cut crystal produced from 1876 to roughly 1920.

It is considered "crystal" because it's made of up to a 50% lead content (versus 24% for modern crystal), which accounted for its brilliance. This piece is in very nice condition without chips or cracks.

There is some discoloration of the silver along the edge of the glass on the outside and some glue residue on the inside between the silver and the glass. It measures approximately 5" high and 8 1/2" in diameter.
