American Brilliant Period (ABP) Cut Glass. Mayonnaise Bowl with Unusual Deep Underplate.
Unmarked, hand cut on a figural blank. 6 W at the top. The bowl and underplate are cut very nicely in an elegant design. The bowl has a round bottom and flares upwards to form a square top with rounded corners.
Lightly scalloped underplate's sawtooth rim rises straight up from the geometric band to create almost in a crimpled appearance. The bowl has a flake at the top of one tooth and a very minor roughness. The bowl was possibly re-ground and re-polished at the bottom and the sawtooth rim. The underplate has minor roughness on several teeth.
