This is a lovely cut glass Compote / Footed bowl. This is a great display piece with it large impressive size. Measures: 9" wide top rim and its about 2" deep.
This is from the American Brilliant period (1870 to 1920's). It is genuine from the era.
It is very wide like a bowl, on a thick & heavy quality blank. Thicker stem & thicker base with a nice Hobstar cut in the bottom to match the Hobstar design on top. This appears to have been cut by a better company- quality piece. Condition: It is over 100 years old so it's in great condition for these days.. No broken teeth or obvious/visible damage to the rim- during inspection, I only found a few micro "Contact nips" on the inside of the rim that are typical and not visible.
Does have a few of the typical little nips in the pattern too that are visible in the fans but do not detract from the design. This is for 2 reasons- We sell antiques / vintage goods, therefore they are used, I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get.
