This is a Gorgeous Antique Cut glass Bowl- great for use or display. This is a larger low bowl shape that can display in an easel upright if desired. Measures: 9" wide by by 2-5/8" tall.
It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is still over 100 years old now! This is an exceptionally bright, clear, sparkly, and heavy blank. Documentation/ Authentication: This is Signed by Libbey. This is a well documented pattern, but it is unnamed or I should say we don't have a record of the name.
Any serious collector would love to have this pattern in their collection. This pattern is a special one that is sometimes found with the earlier sabre mark. It has the unique design of geometrics with florals and lots of flashing. Hard to look at it and not see the Libbey and W C Anderson characteristics of the best pieces they were known for. Condition: It is over 110 years old- and for its age it is in good condition.
I went around the top rims and only found 1 tooth point that had a little taken off the top. The rest of the teeth are intact, but there is a little bit of the Invisible micro contact nips that you see on glass of this age either inside or outside of the rim that no one notices and it does not detract from it's beauty.
This is for 2 reasons- We sell antiques / vintage goods, therefore they are used, I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get.
