This is a gorgeous antique cut glass bowl. Measure: 8" wide by 3-1/2" tall.

It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now! Authentication/Documentation: This pattern is desirable for collectors. It is a Fry Blank, and I believe it is Meriden co.

S cutting #180 bowl no. However the same pattern was cut by Pitkins & Brooks on the same Fry Blank and they called it "Winner". Then you had Gundy Clapperton retailing it as the name "Winner" as well. This has a gorgeous flashy geometric design. There is a large cut 18 point hobstar in the center/bottom. The sides are elegant 16 point hobstars alternating with flashed stars, accented with crosshatching. The cutters finished it with a well rounded-tip sawtooth rim.

Condition: This cut glass is over 100 years old. There is those microscopic contact nips around the inside of the rim from being used years ago (these nips on the inside are usually from prior use with utensils). But no large chips or missing teeth or signs of abuse beyond the minor roughness- see pictures and zoom in on the rim pics.

I have very clear close ups in the last 4 pictures that go all the way around the bowl. I did see a small nip in the pattern on the bottom also look to be from table contact and not unsightly or any issue really. Therefore it will be treated as such. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item.
