4 Water Goblets American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Crystal Libbey Harvard set 3

This is for a set of (4) Rare Water Goblet with the extra special cut stem with bubble. Read condition about 3 wobble and 2 have a small chip in a fan cutting. The goblet shape is No. 250 and it can be seen pg. 29 of the red cover catalog. There are other stems also on the page and these are the better fancier stems. Big facet stems with 2 trapped bubbles, one in each knop. This is Libbey's "Harvard" pattern and this exact stem is seen on pg. 29 of the red cover. It is very similar to a VSL pattern and some collectors use them together. Measures: 6-7/8" tall by 3-1/4" wide top rim.

The largest goblet in this design. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915). Harvard was an earlier cut pattern and popular today. Very high quality glass blanks were used for these.

Condition: This is 120+ years old with the original rims & bases (no signs of ever being repaired). I found no chips or cracks on the rims or bases.

1 glass has a small bump if felt in the rim that is a flaw from haw its is made, not a nip- it also causes no issues. The other 3 glasses all have varying degrees of wobble when you set them down so they were not perfectly made flat on the bases, and 2 of these 3 have a small fleabite in a fan cutting. All 4 can be used just fine and they display great.
