Ive owned numerous newel post finials and this one is the largest Ive ever had. It stands 7 1/2 inches tall, glass is approx.

4 3/4 inches wide at widest point and metal base is almost 3 inches in diameter. Glass is somewhat cloudy, like it has a film on it but it does not wipe off as if its underneath the surface despite it being a solid piece. Looks like a large flake but is smooth to the touch.
