Recent find from a very prominent Charlotte, NC estate. Offering a truly stunning late 1800's Baccarat domed lid, hinged casket. Consistent with pre 1930's baccarat, this piece is not marked. Through our research, we've found a handful with identical size, shape, cut pattern, bronze or brass dore adornments; all attributed to Baccarat. With other examples we found, it seems this piece was designed with and without the handle on the lid; this example does come with the handle.

Amazing piece and displays incredibly well with no noted chips, cracks, haziness nor noticeable scratches on the underside where the piece rests. Some minor tarnished areas on the bronze, but mostly between the lid and the box.

The hinges are fluid and the box is very in-line when closed. We did not receive the key to the lock and the lock has not been tested to confirm it still functions. Very heavy for its size at 4 1/4 pounds or just under 2 kilos. Please see photographs for overall condition, design, and dimensions.
